Standing at the edge of pools,
The spires mounting every toll.
Toiled away, I toiled away
The longest drive,
Manic,
Counting stars,
I’m your fool.
Gravitating towards the edge of cliffs my burdens pushed me toward.
Luxury forgetting she’s a mistress I cannot afford.
To follow in the fatal steps of those who stole my final breath.
Stopping is not an option now, my self control is running out.
Blossomed forth from coral blues,
Now back to my most solemn roots
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
