I sat and watched the nameless crowds shuffle through the corridors.
I listened as their voices clamored over each other,
Their diction tasteless and bland
Rising to my feet, drooling and dragging every step,
My corpse reflected in every window containing representations of my potential self.
Impaled on the steps of my home,
I recall the first night of the summer, sobbing in my car.
I cried out aloud, words of love without doubt,
Just so I could hear how they sound.
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
